Let's start a new year...

I never knew that five weeks of holiday could feel so good! I thought I would be restless and need to get back to Brussels but the joys of Germany and Italy completely took over me this summer and I switched into holiday mode and stayed there very happily!

We were so lucky to have this time away as a family and then also to be able to leave the kids for a few days with their grandparents and go hiking in the Dolomites. There is nothing like these awe-inspiring mountains to bring back a sense of connection to this amazing planet, and nothing like dis-connecting from the computer and phone for a while to allow some space for reflection...

So tomorrow is 'la rentree'... back to school! My little one starts school too so there will be a few changes in the family.... all exciting!

As people who have been reading this blog for a while know, 1st September is my favourite date for New Year! It is the time of new pencils and squeaky shoes... we have the energy from the sunshine to help us to make changes...

What would you like to do this 'rentree' to really nourish and value yourself? What would give you energy?

For me, I am delighted to be starting to study again with the Institute for the Psychology of Eating and taking their coaching certification starting in October....

But I also decided that I need to get out into the green more... as a city dweller, regular trips out to the forest or greenbelt around the city I know will keep me energised...

With two boys in school, I will also be exploring more lunch box options and be sharing those with you as the term progresses...

Take a moment and think about what would really make YOU feel good... and lovely if you choose to share it below as you may well inspire others....

Happy New Year and back now on a weekly basis with lots of recipes and tips!
